wow..the man is barring down on my comments...I ponder if this will be an "english language" format or another throw-away, flavor of the week latin format that we've all had the displeasure of seeing so frequesntly in this market...

Changes In The Works At KZZA
ALL ACCESS has learned that LIBERMAN Hurban KZZA (CASA 106.7)/DALLAS is now airing more of a Latin Top 40 format, with less reggaeton, and now featuring a sprinkling of Hop Hop, Bachata, and some mainstream Top 40 like JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, FERGIE, and NELLY FURTADO, according to PD DOMINO. The station's site is down and being revamped, and the MYSPACE page is still active but in need of updates.

Actually, Liberman's programming team of eddie Leon and Pepe Garza are very good programmers and competitors worthy of respect.
 
Is kplx saying that all listeners to latin formats are day laborers? Are you on the Farmers Branch city council?
 
It just shows you how a majority of the people that posts on this board thinks.....
 
Lieberman formats cheap,hires cheap, and he deserves respect from those who seek to water down and cheapen radio more and more. Farmers Branch is going to hold an election on that matter, and if the CITIZENS vote for the ordinace,then they stood up for themselves. They are only a reflection of what MANY according to leading polls desire. If your're a citizen,then there is nothing to worrry about.

Hello All,
I am glad to hear Casa 106.7 is retooling. They need a lot of work. 1.0 shares sucks in DFW #5 market. Casa plays too much R&B Rap Hip-Hop. Casa would get more listeners with more old school latin hip-hop back from the early 1990's to 2000's. Does anyone remember old POWER 107? POWER 107 was first on KTLR 107.1 in Terrell, TX at night then KRVA 106.9 in McKinney, TX and KTLR 107.1...then KHYI 95.3 I heard something happened to the DJ that ran POWER 107 format...I do not know???? I loved listening to POWER 107 in high school and college in Northeast Texas area. I'd retool Casa with a lot of DJ mixing like DJ BigBaby, Old school latin music, some music like MOVIN 107.5, and some regular Spainish hip-hop. PD Domino needs to look at old stations formats here in North Texas it help him a lot.

On another board (hint: the one almost no one posts on, or visits) there was talk of Casa switching to Smooth Jazz along with the launch of the new and improved Movin' with jocks. Two points that were brought up say a lot about this supposed "news": first, a poster said that KZZA had been sold (likelihood 0.0001%). Another tidbit had Domino (current Casa PD) doing evenings at Movin' redux. Please...
 
KZZA and all Spanish language stations are like blank frequencies to me. Thank goodness they aren't running IBOC, and I can hear KOOI 106.5.
 
KOAI does sound pretty good,but if you're around 635 and I-20 106.7 interferes.
 
It's beginning to look more like a re-launch. If you go to their website, it looks like they are in the middle of redesigning it.
