Next Level Wildstyle! said:Actually, just noticed that WiLD has watered down their rhythmic playlist quite a bit and has shifted more mainstream pop in comparison to what they used to be not too long ago. I liked their November & December playlist. It's becoming more evident that WiLD will more than likely flip because if they continue to decrease the crossover rhythmic hip hop then they will begin to sound very identical to Power (yes, "begin" is indeed an accurate word here). The weeknight premium choice playlist is already very top 40 mainstream as it is. If WiLD sounds anymore similar to Power then Power might as well just pick up a few of the lighter rhythmic hits that WiLD is playing and both WiLD signals should be open for a new format. At least in my opinion this makes more sense than two ClearChannel CHR's becoming more and more alike. No, Power shifting to sound more like Q, Star, and even B98.5 to differentiate themselves from WiLD is not a better solution, lol.
Didn't Clear Channel not too long ago hire a new PD for WILD? What shift would Mami Chula do at POWER since nights are already live & local?
