I think this article is a good overview of the situation but holds back too much. Specifically, when it comes to Severin's national radio show, it makes it seem like Severin was so popular that WTKK wanted him all to itself. Weren't his national ratings poor?
Also, the article mentions high-profile feuds with Emily Rooney and Margery Eagan. I know about the Rooney feud but does anyone know what happened with Eagan? One time I heard Severin basically call Eagan "dumb," but I never figured out what instigated it.

I was listening to both shows the day the feud erupted. I don't recall Margery saying anything inflammatory against Jay and then when his show came on at 3, he had that snotty tone and I knew something had blown up his skirt. He immediately had a royal hissy fit and he started berating her. He claimed that she said that she had gone "toe to toe with him on some current issue and she was still standing or she had won. I can't remember the subject anymore. He kept repeating "toe to toe " with MEEEEE?????? in his squeaky high pitched voice. He went into a rage against her for a long time. The next day she didn't mention it. He came on again and started taking pot shots at her about how much smarter he is and he did this for a few days. I don't remember her ever responding. Finally, the station must have told him to knock it off because he stopped mentioning the Jim and Margery show. Whenever he had to say something about their show he would mention Jim but never her. I have never heard her mention this feud so I feel the station must have backed her in this fight against Jay.
By the way, I've finally started listening to WTKK at 3 again since they had the good sense to remove Jay. I hope he never comes back here. At least the guy from Philly has some guests on and takes a lot of calls, he's not a one trick pony like Jay. I'd prefer Mark Levin in that slot but I'll settle for Mike Schmer...... I can't spell his name.
If I'm not remembering the feud correctly someone can update this.

Levin's show runs 6-9 pm live so that could cover Jay's last hour. I believe they run a best of Levin
on Sat nights. TALKERS says Levin is tied with Ingraham (4th) in number of listeners

I thought Smerconish said he had secured a local affiliate? Does that mean some WTKK line-up changes are in the works with Severin's return?
