Now that they're with kyxy I think they will be a lot better. CBS or any other company that might take over should be much much better than clear channel. I refuse to listen to any clear channel station EVER!

Yup another talk show on FM. You can't argue the success in the past of J and J. Being gone for 17 months in a market where they existed for this long shouldn't be a deterrent. Question is, in the overall scheme of things how will this affect KYXY's heritage as a "soft rock" station? PPM says morning shows that talk a lot don't work. The DSC have helped Jack, but not as much as they'd like. I'm sure J and J worked a good deal with CBS.

Don't worry CBS Radio has hired them on a barter system just like a syndicated show. J&J are selling their own advertising with CBS taking a percentage. They will syndicate the show to Chico, Fresno..etc. How well it will do depends on whether Fresno or Chico really cares about San Diego content. In other words CBS Radio has them on the cheap. They are renting the space from CBS.

They'd mentioned trying to perhaps buy a station, but this is somewhere between being an owner and being an employee.

That would make sense out of some things, such as CBS keeping the old morning show intact "just in case." Sounds like J&J would have put up front money for showgram players.

Yes but how long will KyXy and KSCF stay with CBS, as I recall they announced about a year ago that they wanted to sell every market that had less than 5 stations in it?? So if Jeff and Jer based their decision on working for broadcasters, next week they could be owned by a private equity firm? But I do have to say that I enjoyed their video parody of Ted Williams, I hope that they do more of that on the new show. They need more funny and less ruminating! Good luck J & J
