Thought I'd start a new thread, see what everyone thought. Upgrade?

So far, I've really been impressed by the way he's not liked the music. He also has acted like the audience is stupid. That wins 'em over! So far eight thumbs way up!!! Just as a listener, it's great to hear them not change a thing except the guy farting in the chair. Same everything with a different guy spoonin' it up who doesn't sound like he likes me! I loves it!!!!!!

I like the way he does that thing where he totally and completely sucks and has no chance of beating the Wolf. That's awesome; the way he does that.

Don't feel like he and Angie have much chemistry....'course it's early.

Seems like a real smartass........but maybe that's what they think they need.

Is the co host on the air, Angie, his wife?

Please forgive the stupid question, but I know he has a wife named Angie (who also owns an AM CP in Western SC)n

It is Angie Ward ... All Access announced that she was the permanent side kick a few weeks ago. This is one more thing to make me question the programming abilities of the CC GSO cluster. Angie Ward, in her mid day position, performed well, had a strong fan base and longevity. Gee, let's take the best we have and put them with some guy that out of the box people aren't going to like for a number of reasons (His WSOC History, He got Aunt Eloise fired and He's not Paul Franklin). I think we can add the permanent move of Angie Ward to the WTQR mistake list.

Now on the other side....They put Angie in there to help acclimate him to the market and listeners. "Well if Angie Wrd's with him, he MUST be ok". I think I'd rather put an entire new show in there and start over. But that would take money. Move Angie up, VT midays, and save that $$$$$ baby!!!

And, that's the REAL CC way! Kill two birds with one stone and SAVE MONEY! You nailed it JohnQDoe. And, both of them are CMA Award winners, so it HAS to be a dynamic morning show...right? One thing's for sure, Angie won't put up with any cr*p, and her husband is the Operations Mgr, so I doubt there will be any harrassment going on. Might be ideal!

CMA Radio Winner = He/She who makes flashiest binder

therefore, CMA Radio Winner = steller hole puncher, laminator, and collater.

Me, I have four CMA Awards.

::) Well, Butter my Butt and call me a biscuit, Larry Flynt mentioned me one time in Hustler Magazine!

Just to be clear - Angie Ward is NOT his wife. She is married to CC GSO Ops Manager Tim Sattefield.

Ha Ha! Funny ...Wise Guy! ;D

I asked this question on a related board about Roper and no one answered but can anyone tell me if this guy was successful in Charlotte? I remember hearing his name years ago and was always under the impression he was very successful (ratings / career). Seems to be a lot of "hatin'" going on and I'm trying to figure out if this guy is a putz or the guy everybody loves to hates because he's good.

By the way, I couldn't resist but to comment on radiochicks three reasons Roper could never be successful... While I know we eat and drink radio, try not to give the listener enough credit to (A) know or care what happened to this guy in Charlotte a number of years ago, I'm in the biz and I'm not sure myself! (B) think that this guy had anything to do with another personality getting their walking papers, and last but laugably not least, hold this new air talent up to standards of a mega-talent that died 6 years ago.
