(the kazoo was really wearing thin, as well as the Leveille/Hagulpian polls.
@katzradio - I had to take a peek.......from wikipedia:
"In 2010 Jen started at WRKO in Boston, where she was host of the weekend show from 12 P.M. to 3 P.M. Her popularity with the listeners in this timeslot, proved to the station's management that she was ready to take on a more demanding role. In February 2012, Jen joined the station's weekday lineup with "The Jennifer Brien Show" airing from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. in the challenging time slot opposite Rush Limbaugh. Despite little promotion given to the show, it’s popularity grew tremendously and developed a fiercely loyal fan base."
I must ask this question....on what planet was she popular? I don't recall her being "popular", it was more a case of a train wreck, people tuning in because they just couldn't believe what they were hearing so they tuned in to see if they were dreaming, she wasn't as bad as what she's doing now but she was not "popular" by any stretch of the imagination.
.......................[firing Brudnoy] Supposedly it was for financial considerations.......................................
I was gone by the time that happened, but the word was that Brudnoy's firing was driven by 'lifestyle' issues the GM took exception to.
He was hired back, but for less money, although I don't believe money was the prime mover in this instance.

Just figured I would raise the point since this seems to be the thread to raise issues without any facts to back things up. Not directed in a negative way at you Mr Bench or several others whose posts seem to be fair and reasonable but there are others.....
I thought that was the other Ms. Brien thread we were doing that in. I can't keep them straight. I'll be sure to continue to post my non-facts in both threads just to be on the safe side.
Will do...however, I normally don't feed trolls. We'll see how it goes.
I cannot take it anymore. I would to know what anyone likes about the Jen Brien show or her performance overall? Every single topic on every single show comes back to Jen. It is the worst kind of radio that I can imagine and it is a travesty that it is being broadcast on a 50,000-watt powerhouse. Honestly, do you find it interesting when she attempts to forge friendships with half her callers and asks them to call her after the show, maybe they can go out to the clubs, etc? Do you find it interesting when she invites callers in to co-host the show? Do you find it interesting when she starts the show with a caller who has visited the studio to bring her pizza, and then goes on to ask the woman, Joanne, insipid questions like, "what would you do if you were president?" Do you enjoy when she spends three shows mourning and grieving the death of her 96-year-old friend, Peg? Do you enjoy when she constantly promotes her Pilates instructor on Cape Cod (she did it at least three times lasts night)? Do you enjoy the fact that she is rarely ever able to complete a sentence or thought and almost never stays on one topic for more than 10 minutes? Did you enjoy the show where almost the entire 5 hours was spent asking people where she should move? Do you like her story that she has told at least twice about how she "urinated all over herself" the one time she went skydiving? Do you enjoy the weekly insipid talks with her mother? Do you enjoy all of the times she has mentioned -- for the past two weeks -- that her phone was broken and she had no way of getting in touch with anyone and her mother was angry about it, etc? And by the way, why does it take two weeks to replace a cell phone? Do you enjoy her regular mentions of her past drug usage and drinking? How much do you like the talk about Al the dog? Did you like her comment the other night when she recalled what her initial reaction was when she saw the first plane hit the world trade towers, "Hmmm. That's not good. That's gotta hurt."? Pretty classy stuff if I do say so myself. Finally, do you like it when she talks about the manure-filled sock, which she pulled out again last night. None of this is made up. And, for the most part I only listen an hour each night before jumping on to Tunein radio to listen to Phil Hendrie. WBZ should be ashamed of itself for letting this dreck continue to air.
