Nobody should be syndication advocates (even for Phil). I don't listen to JB but I don't root against her either.
BZ's non-news programming is pretty awful compared to what it was. Weekends are a wasteland (other than 10-12 Sun).

All you need is Tunein Radio and you can get Hendrie anywhere and almost any time!

I haven't heard Glenn in a while. Good to know he's ok. It was amazing that no matter what time of night I might wake up and turn on BZ he would --soon-- be on.
There doesn't seem to be chronic callers to talk radio anymore. The opportunities for the' paper-delivering mailman' must be shrinking?

Morgan White is on overnight,
Dan Rea did not headline that he was filling in for Jen Brien.
Does that mean she has departed the building...for good?
 
Well, still the Jen Brien show and her music, so guess she is still around. This makes six shows missed and one late arrival since getting the job on 6/25. Morgan also announced that Jen will likely be out tomorrow, but should be back Monday morning. Why the mystery? What is going on? Sounds like Morgan was unaware again that he would be on tonight.
 
Hmmm. I’m suspicious. She might be mysteriously gone due to a strangely macabre “pre-approved time off” or a vacation. I taped her show the other night and played it backwards at double speed. I swear I could hear Jen in the background saying, “I buried Paul”! …you don’t suppose…

This must be the new way they do things at WBZ. When someone has vacation, don't tell anyone, including the fill in hosts while said person is away on vacation. They should have let Bradley Jay know he was going to have to work 7 straight hours on Sunday/Monday morning since this was pre-approved time off, but I guess they wanted to keep it as a surprise for him.
 
Morgan didn't get the job but he gets the fill-in work.

Who fills in for Dan (on scheduled vaca's)? BZ doesn't seem to have the deep bench they formerly had.

How do you know Bradley didn't know about it? Maybe he was just whining about having to work so many hours over both stations.

Incidentally, both Jen and Bradley must be thrilled that their comings and goings are under this microscope! It isn't very often that overnight talent is discussed like this. Usually they're an asterisk in the air talent list.

Whole bunch of threads about her and related speculation. TuneIn has been very welcome; I have listeners in Illinois and England who use it and I've used it myself. I've been hearing the likes of Howie or WMWM's the Juke Joint (with one of our other hosts) while traveling, and a live net-only show while working (Stu's Show; last night Dan "Homer Simpson" Castelleneta was on). I even paid a $5 one time fee to be able to record it.
Satellite radio or even HD is another option; if you prefer not to tune into WBZ (AM) there's a bunch of choices around on the various
local HD2 or -3 stations (I think tunein has them as an option too)
 
Again, the best sign that a change is in the wind was that Dan Rea did NOT mention that woman's name, I'll think of it sometime, during his crossover promotion at Midnight last night. Dan is a team player and must know more than he is saying.
 
I am not very hopeful unfortunately, I'd love if this was the beginning of the end of her but I just have a bad feeling she'll be back ranting about urine, Peggy and god knows what else next week. *

Ah, okay. Last I knew, he was leaving TRN and OTA radio for the time being and going solely subscription podcast, but I now see word of his OTA demise was premature——all of the local affiliates except Buffalo parted ways and I heard advisories on 'KB saying that these were “Best Of” shows. :rolleyes:

I am wondering about that too. Awful strange. If this was a reqular job she would have been let go. I cn't get her on FB I think she blocked me when i called her out on some of the things she said.

Maybe Jen Brien is on Jury Duty and doesn't yet know when it will end (and thus, be able to return to 'BZ).

Remember that jury trials are held during business hours, while Ms. Brien's airshift is 12:05-5 A.M.
