As far as I know, they are still using the same antennas. The owner had a small portable shed (like the ones they sell at Home Depot) moved in next to one tower. The transmitter was in there. It probably still is.

According to the Tyler paper, there was supposed to be a Sheriff's auction on the property. That was some time ago. I don't know who ended up with it, but anyone who owns land with a couple of towers on it would be interested in leasing them out. Otherwise they are a huge liability. I guess they were able to work something out.
 
I just got back from a four day trip to NE Texas/Shreveport, and KZEY is OFF THE AIR. Not even a clean carrier signal. I went to all sides of Tyler, and even less than a mile from their stick on Lake Park Drive. No signal whatsoever! :mad: I won't elaborate, due to my inflamatory feelings, but it is a CRYING SHAME that a station with SO MUCH history in the Black community, who has a Black owner has gone into the toilet. READ MY MIND JERRY RUSSELL! :mad: :mad: :mad:
