Anyone else notice this? I *used* to somewhat enjoy listening to the morning show, but it is getting to be a competitive free for all, at least that is how it comes across to me.
As far as I am concerned, the morning show is still "Gary's show", but do you notice that whenever there is a guest, that Jim will jump in & talk over Gary, inserting his "2 cents", so as not to be overlooked?
It is especially noticeable at the end of the discussion with the guest; when Gary is wrapping up the discussing & saying the farewells, Jim will jump in & talk over Gary with a hearty "Thanks Terry" >insert name here< or whoever the guest is.
It is almost laughable - Jimmy boy doesn't want to be overlooked. I know radio is a fierce competitive market today, more so now than ever, but I can't help but be annoyed when I hear him doing that.
I would rather Gary just do the show by himself, or maybe Jim only speak when spoken to. He doesn't need to "sign off" along with Gary at the end of each guest discussion.
lol, just my rantings for the morning....I find myself tuning over to 580 more & more to get away from the attempted "One-upmanship". :
Wonder how Gary feels about it...if you listen closely, he stops short when Jim starts talking over him....I can almost hear the disgust in his breathing...
