Jock you'd like to have back?

He's fantastic, but looks like shite. Hahahaha! I'll never forget the picture of Hitler he posted on Phil Becker's desk with a sweet little "HI PHIL!" note on it. Only Ronnie could get away with stuff like that!

I believe "Two Flags..." was the work of the aforementioned Pat Patterson. Say, whatever became of P-squared?

Got a flashback workin' from page 6 and that mention of WIST in Charlotte. 2nd oldest calls in Charlotte, behind only BT when the 1240 (The Bright Spot on your AM Dial) signal went dark in the early 80s. First station I ever worked for and one of the few that didn't fire me. Still remember my first words after cracking the mic, coming out of "Last Date," by Floyd Cramer. I was so nervous you couldn't have hammered a railroad spike up my whooooop (self-censored). I didn't know what to say. I was sweatin'. The music ended. The air had died. Finally, in a Venus Flytrap-like whisper, I said, "There's a little bit of Floyd Cramer for you." I'm sure that all 17 WIST country listeners were very impressed. I went to a spot and then slapped myself around the studio for several minutes.

Hey, maybe that's a good topic to start anew: What was your first ever sentence uttered live?

Sniff, I'm much too shy to start a new topic. I just wouldn't feel sufficiently unobtrusive about taking up all that cyberspace. But if somebody else wants to take my baby and raise it, I'll sit back and feel righteous about the child I've spawned that will never know its father. Call me a slut. I try to spread myself so thickly over the earth, without fanfare.

Pat Patterson?
That name does sound familiar

I'm too lazy to go through and cutandpaste all the P2 mentions so far and besides it would be superfluous and redundant :)

Ah! Pat Patterson. WHEW!!! That's a relief! What IS he up to.

Now.... Anybody remember the guy who did Uncle Zeb's General Store? I believe it was in Lizard Lick. Maybe between Dunn and Bunn.

John Stanton from the old TOB days......Daddy-O when he was on triple a before he got burned out......
Booby Nash from the old AIR......and......Dave Rock and Roll Rollins only if he could be paired with Omar Hilton.

I knew HA at BT but never heard of any of those other Jokers!
Satellite. All three were canned by Timeless favorites, which used to be standards but is now soft oldies with an occasional new tune by the likes of Michael Buble or Barry Manilow.

;D For those who wonder, I must explain...Omar Hilton was one of the orginal founders of WLXN and now Majic 94.1..In the old days when they played standards on the AM (WBUY) one song "Saturday Night Fish Fry..a god awful song, was always credited on the BMI/Ascap logs to Omar Hilton..Another side note..everything Omar owned including the stations back in the late 40's and 50's was painted "Battleship Grey" Sheesh..
