“In the end, the Television Consumer Freedom Act is about giving the consumer more choices when watching television. It’s time for us to help shift the landscape to benefit television consumers," McCain said. McCain's proposed legislation is certain to face fierce resistance from the industry.

joeybabe25 said:Millions? Listening to the conservative commentators, I thought it was ZILLIONS!
EACH...AND...EVERY...DAY
willdav713 said:This happens to be regulation on imports, but people ship items internationally and skirt the law everyday, heck we cannot secure our borders for crying out loud, and millions of illegal aliens come into our country every single day.
Free markets down the drain. Nothing new here. I love when the US Government acts like North Korea censoring speech, and trade /sarcasm.
Prison Industrial Complex at work making more felonies. I choose to live in a free society as a libertarian.
Goat Rodeo Cowboy said:Willdav: I've met very few Libertarians who do not end up shooting themselves in the foot before the conversation is over. You upset and fussing about people who don't obey the laws.... (the laws that you like!) and you are upset and fussing about government that passes laws... because live-free Libertarians know that laws are un-necessary.
joeybabe25 said:........ you should study up on people who advocate freedom. With all due respect, you have a totally wrong idea about it.
Goat Rodeo Cowboy said:I'm teachable. Tell me what totally wrong idea is creating a problem for you.
Prepare you charts and quotes well. I do know the difference between zillions, millions and 498.
I do know that any true form of self government ends up with some covenants and compacts and compromises that the "free spirits" among us don't like. (And that's a 'loving term' my friend... I often speak of my oldest child as "my free spirit".)

Is it possible there a little bit of exaggeration in that claim?
Let's assume "millions" equals TWO million per day time 365 days per year equals 730 millions illegal aliens per year. Including the millions and billions of residents who lack 'citizenship legality" ......... the population of our nation is what today?
The process of "self government" requires that the participants speak to each other now and then with a bit of integrity.
