Sports, we have found common ground!
I also will agree back at you that there are better sports talk stations in other markets.
Many of those guys don't get the ratings and billing that these guys get though.
Bad attendance at sporting events for Atlanta is hilarious and used by many nationally.
They went 6 straight years selling out every Falcons game. The Braves have been a high 2 millions and sometimes 3 million plus team for years towards the top third in MLB. The Hawks and the Thrashers are not at the bottom of their leagues which is a statement considering how pathetic they are.
College attendance is spectacular within 2 hours of Atlanta at GA, GA Tech, Clemson, Auburn....
It is a mediocre pro sports town, based on the fact that the vast majority of residents have come here in the last 15 years from somewhere else. In 1996 this radio market was about 3 million and now it is 5.3 million in just 12 years.
Sports, even cement heads liek me can find that we agree on many things.
