NBC Sports 1510?
Apparently for the next couple weeks, it's Shepard on Mon-Tues, and weekend flashboy Scott Sudikoff is covering Wed-Fri. At the end of the month, presumably they'll have a more permanent solution in place.johng said:I didn't hear anything official this morning during the time I listened -- is Shepard officially with the show as of now?
Three people believed that.It was not his choice to leave
fmradio1 said:Sounds like Sheppard is the guy they want with D&C. Entercom will slow play it, having other people come in and "audition" but at the end of the process, it will most likely be Pete. Not only will it give them a "name" in mornings for short dollars (you really don't think Sheppard is going to make that much, do you?) but it puts someone in place in case Dennis retires or the duo winds up not being renewed in a couple of years. Meter was not going to be a long term solution in mornings. Pete could be.
TSBench said:Meter had a good run. Will the RS come to his aid and will BC stick with him (Gene's gone)?
Think about it. Meter's career was dead in the water if he stayed doing what he was doing at WEEI. The fact that people think it strange for some guy to decide to roll the career dice after years as a third banana, says more about them than it does about him.
Sometimes things are as they appear.

As Dirty Harry once said; "A man's got to know his limitations". He is a terrible play-by-play guy. I think WEEI is the reason he has the BC job. Now that Gene is gone, that could be in jeopardy. I know his career is dead in the water, but this seems a bit reckless.TSBench said:Meter had a good run. Will the RS come to his aid and will BC stick with him (Gene's gone)?

What's rule No. 1?thirdendorsed said:" he thinks he'll find something"
Tells you all you need to know.
While on the air, he's ripped a lot of talent. Rule No. 2 of the business is if you want to go anywhere, don't get a reputation for ripping the gainfully employed. It'll bite you.
