Anybody who has ever spent any time in radio knows that air talents come and go..it's the nature of the business. And if you've been in radio even a short period of time you have likely seen a few air talents leave a station not of their own free will. When this happens we all have heard the standard management line as to how we are to handle this on the air, or on the phones or in the public. IGNORE IT ! DON'T CALL ATTENTION TO IT ! PRETEND THIS PERSON NEVER WAS PART OF THE STATION ! REFER ALL QUESTIONS TO MANAGEMENT WITHOUT COMMENT !... If you've spent any time in radio you know I'm telling the truth. That is "Standard Procedure"...So with that said, does anyone believe that Journal would allow Bobby Rich to
pre-promote a major announcement concerning the Bobby & Brad show? And would they allow the GM to go on the air (not once) but twice during the morning show to make that announcement praising Brad saying how sorry she was that he was leaving the show, and how much he will be missed? Would they allow that if they were firing him? I DON'T THINK SO !
