Journal Loses It!!!!

Here's the MOST important question however...

Was Brad fired or did he simply move on to bigger and better things?

There was nothing on the Mix-FM website to indicate that he was fired.

In a quote from Bobby Rich, "It's hard to have someone leave but people sometimes move on to do other things." That sounds more like Brad made a choice to call it a day and venture onto other projects.

Anybody who has ever spent any time in radio knows that air talents come and go..it's the nature of the business. And if you've been in radio even a short period of time you have likely seen a few air talents leave a station not of their own free will. When this happens we all have heard the standard management line as to how we are to handle this on the air, or on the phones or in the public. IGNORE IT ! DON'T CALL ATTENTION TO IT ! PRETEND THIS PERSON NEVER WAS PART OF THE STATION ! REFER ALL QUESTIONS TO MANAGEMENT WITHOUT COMMENT !... If you've spent any time in radio you know I'm telling the truth. That is "Standard Procedure"...So with that said, does anyone believe that Journal would allow Bobby Rich to
pre-promote a major announcement concerning the Bobby & Brad show? And would they allow the GM to go on the air (not once) but twice during the morning show to make that announcement praising Brad saying how sorry she was that he was leaving the show, and how much he will be missed? Would they allow that if they were firing him? I DON'T THINK SO !

Yea but Brad was never in the building anyway.....right?

And your point is ????

And three days after it's announced that Brad has
left the building--or in this case the ISDN line--
it's announced that Cloud 95 comes in at the
number uno spot (12+) in the summer book.

Nice timing there, Journal.

Anyone have the 25-54s?

Closed circuit for Bobby (as you've posted on
this board before)--care to give us the real scoop
on the partial dismantling of the morning show?

Oh, and as I tend to do on "book's out" days...

Cloud.
KIIM.
KCMT.
Huh? Who? Ohhhh, muy reverb radio.
(Double-Q was #4.)
Discuss.

 Not unless he worked for KIIM and KHIT between 1996 and 2000?? ;)

So you are not him. But you sure do "shock" easily.

Looks like they have replaced the news position with a guy named Bruce-something. Maybe so they can keep the B AND B moniker. The guy seems to be doing a good job. And they are using the female sidekick they call MRS GRANT a lot more? The show actually sounds very much the same as I ever heard it when it was with BRAD. Got to admit it is a well done show.

After reading the real scoop (Tucson Weekly link above),
all I can say is...

Hey Diane--I hope you really, really, really enjoy your
Journal Christmas bonus this year!

(Sarcasm mode now off, in case you didn't get my drift.)

And to Booby (typo intended)--you went along with this
crap from her? You may be a boffo programmer, but to
attach your name to the corporate lies posted on the
Cloud 95 website?
