I don't think Fat Phill works for Journal. He works for citadel/Cumulus and they didn't buy WNOX.

I saw the lawsuit, but was unable to find anything in writing that backs up their claim.

I couldn't find a link to the suit.

I really thought Journal might go ahead and LMA 100.3 early for a New Year's flip. Guess they want to take their time & do it right.

So, any ideas on when the 100.3 flip will happen? Seems logical to move Q93's format up to 100.3, but what will become of 93.1? Hopefully NOT talk or sports!

My guess for 93.1 would be either classic hits (70s/80s), or an Adult Hits/Jack FM type "play anything" format centered on 80s/90s. Those would be the most logical holes in the market. There's also the possibility they could flank 100.3 by doing classic country on 93.1 to pair with it, but honestly, the ad revenue is awful on classic country stations (even if ratings are good).

If I had to wager, my money would be on a cheaply ran Jack/Bob/etc FM type format focusing on 80s/90s (or some variant of that).

Alternatively, I see Oldies on 93.1 or on 98.7 when Cumulus begins wielding the chainsaw again and talk gets jettisoned to save $$$!

What ever happens to 100.3, someone will carry Rush.

BTW I am not a ditto head, but Rush does have ratings and billings power.

Any new info on when Journal's taking over 100.3? No signs yet except I'm hearing mostly PSA's and very few local spots on 100.3 lately. Guess the sales staff is gone of given up.
Anyway, I would expect Journal to go ahead and LMA it before the deal closes (if Pirkle let's them). I'm hoping it's soon.

They're just being prudent. Their GM is a stand up guy apparently.

Any new news or rumors? With those domain registrations (whether real or a smokescreen), I'd have to imagine the takeover is coming before too long.
