jse worst signal on the planet

JSE's signal has always been abysmal. I remember when I was there when we first signed on the frequency as WSKR and you couldn't even get the signal at the studios.

I'm really not understanding this... I was in LBI last night and was able to pick up JSE.. yes with some static... but c'mon... and I have a friend in Lewis / Rohobeth (sp) Beach DE and is able to pick up JSE fine... I think all of you need a new radio...

JSE has it's good days and it's bad days. Just so happens its usually the extreme in either direction. Should be noted, with the new owners, JSE has only gone totally off air once if any at all. That's a BIG change from the Access 1 days.

There is nothing wrong with the JSE signal. I vacation in the Crest and have never had a problem with the signal. Ducting is another thing over which no one has control. If there is a way to further enhance or maximize the JSE signal, they'll do it. This is a quality group on very smart programming and engineering minds. I, too, have the worst signal on the planet from my C. Crane FM transmitter if judged from a block away, but im my primary "market" (my house and back yard)..I'm on par with the big boys.
