Judi Franco Out at WKXW

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that Judi Franco was working in NYC before coming to 101.5. She was working one of the many formats on 105.1....may have been WNSR or Big 105. I know she has made some reference to it on the air.

IMHO I felt Dennis & Judi was the most entertaining program on the mid-days....& Bob Shannon is right up there as well.
 
If people feel Dennis and Judi were good then their bar was set very low. Many many people over the weekend and throughout the state that I spoke with are glad Judi's gone and thought the mid days on 101.5 lately were terrible and sounded burn't out. Time to raise the bar and the profits with a breath of fresh air.
The time is now for Mid Days with Michele !

Just wait until Michele Pilenza does her magic and the numbers jump then you'll all see this was the correct move. Management at 101.5 would be stupid to keep paying Dennis his salary if they can get better numbers with Michelle alone in mid days. Dump Dennis and pay Michele more and don't let Dennis ride her coattails.

Judi did middays on The Buzz (originally WMXV and then WDBZ -- by the time it changed back to WNSR, she had left).

I know I'm playing right into your "ridiculousness" here but I can't resist...JUST WHO IS IT THAT YOU ARE POLLING AND SPEAKING TO as you gain all this negative insight into the "Dennis and Judi Program?" I'm not attacking YOU, just your statements and merely asking for clarification. Are you a) speaking out of your arse b) hanging out on the corner of Newark speaking to vagrants c) OR are you a FAT PERSON that has resented both Dennis and Judi from the instant they introduced the "Hate Mail From Fat People" segment?? I must be in the ballpark with one of those options.

You CLEARLY HAVE AN AGENDA HEREwhich is to decimate the team that was Dennis and Judi while placing the "Mediocre Michelle" on the highest of pedestals. As a previous poster stated, if their team/show/presentation didn't work it wouldn't have had the longevity of 10+ years. By your standards the Management of 1015 are a bunch of morons and the show should have never existed...I'm sure they're kicking themselves that they couldn't tap you for your research findings.

So Michelle Pilenza's Husband/Agent/Father...

Provide some insight into your empty posts and perhaps we can gain some sort of view as to where you are coming from. Also, who knows maybe your Coffee Clatch system of info-gathering is more efficient than Arbitron, with or without the PPM Technology.

Hey Larry,

We get it...you don't like Dennis and Judy. But the fact of the matter is, as Big Jay so brilliantly put it, they were a good TEAM. And you can tell me Trenton is a small market, and that they lasted 10 years in a small market. But to me, I think NJ 101.5...while they ARE in Trenton...they are not a small market station. They have a decent audience in Philly, and from what I understand, they get into New York as well. The station is a powerhouse. Dennis and Judy didn't last 10 years together because they were in Trenton. They lasted 10 years because they were good together. Michelle Pilenza may be just as good as you say. But stop with the "Dump Dennis" stuff. It makes you sound really stupid.

Is this how you spent your entire Weekend surveying people about Dennis Malloy and Judi Franco? ::) Where did you do this? Who are ALL these so called Dennis and Judi Haters? Were you at ALL the Malls in the State of New Jersey this Weekend asking for people's opinions on Dennis and Judi? I am only asking this in all fairness to you because you say you spoke to Soooooooooo many people. I am sure alot of other poster's are curious too! ???

Unlike the rest of you Radio411 may have a vested interest in keeping Dennis around since I suspect radio 411 maybe the guy Dennis calls in to rant on the show since he rants the same way he writes.

Let's have longer traffic reports with Pete and Bernie with more Michele and less of Dennis to start. Then slowly phase Dennis out with more days off and longer more frequent vacations.

I just know "talent" when I SEE it... reading the posts by YOU "LarryKerly" is off the charts entertainment-wise and your superficial act is BEYOND transparent.

The Dean of traffic Pete Tauriello is funnier than Dennis Malloy can ever hope to be. Pete is more than just a traffic reporter that Dennis and Judi like to put down Pete is a brilliant broadcaster and has been on TV NBC to be exact providing very important traffic updates that have a REAL impact on people's lives.

Everyone I've spoken to all weekend said they only listened to Dennis and Judi because of traffic. Who does the traffic in a very entertaining way ???? The answer is easy.

What is so Fascinating is that you won't admit you maybe the guy Dennis calls in to rant. I suspect you might be that's why you are defending that old burn't out show.

The guy who rants on that show also uses an obscure word like merely Can radio411 and that guy be one of the same ? Also why would radio411 care so much if he wasn't connected to that show.

You can make fun of Traffic Pete being on NBC TV all you want but at least Pete is vital and has a job unlike Judi.

I'm sorry, but this has been irritating me from Larry's first post.

There is no apostrophe in burnt. BURNT out. If you're going to spout junk, at least spell it correctly.
Same goes for maybe and may be. Two different things.

I'm sorry to be the grammar police but it's very distracting. As for the subject at hand, Dennis and Judi worked incredibly well together. Michele has big shoes to fill, and it will certainly be a long adjustment period, and obviously will be a very different show, but both Dennis and Michele are great at their jobs for different reasons.

Give them some time, or at least a CHANCE, before you judge them.

And Pete, God love him, is a great guy, but he's not that funny...it's traffic. How funny could it be?

I am still waiting for the response of WHO the SOOOOOOOOOOO many people are that HATE Dennis and Judi. Answer the question! You have been running your mouth off ALL night! YOU had a choice to listen to Dennis and Judi or NOT listen to them. If they were Soooooooooooo awful like you say they were then WHY WOULD YOU KEEP LISTENING TO THEM???????? You seem to know ALOT about them and their show topics. Again for someone who thinks their BURNT OUT you still kept listening!! It is amazing too that you have such an interest in this particular topic. It makes me wonder if Radio411 is on to something about you being somehow connected to Micheel Pilenza. NOBODY disses Pete Tauriello on my watch. I had the pleasure of working with him every morning for the better part of three years, and my partners and I always considered him to be a vital part of the program. There is a very good reason why Pete has survived -- and, in fact, thrived -- all these years: he's very good at what he does, whether it's the just-the-facts-ma'am presentation required by 1010 WINS or the give-and-take he helped us with on WJRZ.

Well, it's a public forum and I stated MY OPINION just like everyone else did and does. Furthermore Anita, it always seems to be the "wrong" people who keep there jobs and the "right" ones LOSE them and you would be one who did and shouldn't have...but that's radio. Shadow Traffic had a massacre of its own a couple months ago and the same (line above) can be applied to that situation as well. Pete is an excellent traffic reporter which is the reason he kept his job, but a vivacious and hysterical one??? Sorry cannot concur...

Dude, you're killing me!!! Election Day was over 3 weeks ago buddy. Give it a rest. Just the idea alone of you asking people to display a printed out bumper sticker clearly shows that you have NOTHING better to do. Zero life. IF you wanna promote Michelle, then take out an ad in Gannett NJ's newspapers. While you're at it, give Bob Engel (sp?), the 3rd Jersey Guy, a plug too. :)
