Nice to hear "BIG DOG" Jim Sharpe back on KTAR!

I know Jim must have read the card wrong, but it seemed apropos for KTAR's current ratings slump.

Who knows, as Dr. Akbar pointed out on another thread, if the Master Blogger keeps up with these substitutions--BIG DOG Sharpe for Foster, Hill for Ankarlo--it might actually get competitive between KTAR and KFYI!

Anyhow, always good to hear you back on the radio, Jim! ;D
 
The Evil Joe Crummey in PMD, then Scott Connor 7 to 10, 7 to 10, 7 to 10...that's how KT'R should roll. All the Master Blogger has to do is figure out what to do with the Glenn Beck train wreck. Ugh!

Nurse Jeff and I first listened to the BIG DOG on KFWhyEye at 9~Ten; then that lovely experiment with Heidi on 5~Fifty; then another experiment on KT'R 6~Twenty; then back to KFWhyEye as a Newsdude; now subbing on KT'R-FM, the #1 #2 News and Talk Station. BIG DOG bounces around more than those silicone sistahs at Christie's Cabaret! :eek: :eek:

How EVIL of you, Dr. Akbar, to suggest the EVIL Joe Crummey in PMD! Makes too much sense. Will never happen. Mrs. Crummey makes too much money to leave the smog-ladened land of El Ay! Si, se puede!

Oh, you left out BIG DOG'S stint at KZON. Arguably some of his best work, in my opinion.

At least now he works somewhere that pays real money, with a hope for longevity. ;D

Thanks for thinking of me Mosky but I actually love my PR job...no ratings, no format changes, no getting fired when you've been number one 12+ for the past three years...Jason Rose's hair is a little crazy (as is he), but I love the firm and the work.

KOHS, thanks for remembering the KZON days - although Ted Simons might argue about it being some of my best work. :p

Dr. Akbar, you have no idea how LOVELY the Heidi experiment truly was. She is one of the Valley's best combinations of nice/beautiful/sexy...a mere second place to Ms. Mensing (otherwise known as Mrs. Sharpe).

Jay, you paying for the pie, or is it coming out of the McBland endorsement fund.

It could be worse, I tuned to 1100 yesterday and it was a show for people to give plugs to their businesses (after each plug, the host plugged his business, must have been 20 times), funny stuff, mostly life insurance guys and MLM scam artists.

KTAR isn't there yet.

That was back in the day when ChickBoss thought success was being a better clone of KT'R. When you left for Central Ave, C.B. snagged Heywood (who had been released by your new employer) and things really began to unwind. He couldn't relate to KFWhyEye's rowdy audience, and they felt the same about him. Heywood was a consistent no-show at Smack Downs, with Heidi doing a pretty good job covering for him. Fortunately ChickBoss came to her senses when his contract was up and took a chance on Bruce Jacobs (sfx - Dr Akbar ' n Nurse Jeff being skewered). That's when KFWhyEye really began to eat KT'R's lunch. Heidi was moved out of AMD, did lifestyle features and some goofy weekend shows until her contract was up. Who knows if things would have been different had you stuck around. But one things for certain - Jim & Heidi worked a lot better than Ed Walsh & Stan Barnes!

Dear L 1,

If those numbers are so spectacular, please post 'em. As most everyone knows Nurse Jeff and I drive a '76 Levi's Gremlin Special. What makes you think we can afford to subscribe to Arbitron? Like so many others, we rely on the Old Gringo for reliable and pilfered ratings!

And the only time we wear masks is on Halloween when we dress up as the Master Blogger. It's tricks and treats for normal people compliments of Arizona's Number 1 2 News and Talk Station!

I'm more of a Thai food kind of guy, find me a killer Phad Thai and I'm there.
 
Perhaps we should summon the Wiiiiizard (Old Gringo) to settle this once and for all. ;D
