Just saw this on Sean Ross blog - thoughts?

Thumbs up to John Carraciola. It sounds to me like he "gets it." LI and radio in general need to bring the creative people
back to work, and I'm on board with anyone who's doing just that. Good luck with your stations John.

There's very little creative radio on Long Island.

WLNG? Yes. But what else do we have?

WKJY and WLVG? John Tesh radio. WLVG had a great thing going with Scotty Hart on Saturday night and they blew it.

WMJC? I like Rob Rush and Malibu is a great talent, but the whole station is this wasted WPLJ wannabe. Jon Daniels needs to wake up and move this station along... if he's capable of doing even that.

B-103: No complaints, station sounds pretty good. Keith Allen is great, weekend talent is good. The best programmed of the Barnstable bunch.

WALK: KT Mills radio.

WEHM: Could be so much more.

Party 105: A great brand that is just wasted by poor programming mistakes and lack of focus.

WBLI: I like Astra and some of the part timers. Randy? An embarrassment.

WBAB: When you're only allowed to say 25 words an hour, it gets used up quickly. Focused? Yes, but executed with such restriction you can feel the lack of air in the studio.

Isn't B103 voicetracked all day except for mornings? Isn't their station voice also the midday guy? That's not good radio no matter how you slice it, that is cheapo radio.
