Yeah, right. $1000 vs some el-cheapo prize the sales dept. was able to trade out. Big draw.

If that was true then WKXL would be kicking some serious butt. They're about as local as you can get...if the governor breaks wind, they have a reporter on scene to cover it. Yet they rarely, if ever show any measurable audience.

Lmao!!!!! Thank you I needed that!!! OMG that was classic!!!!

Is it just me, or do these guys sound extremely bitter!? I don't know what else to say, except for I stand by my statement.
JYY is #1 with females 18 to 34 in Concord. Ask your PD for a look at the numbers. That is, if your station subscribes to Arbitron. BroadcastKing, give me a call and I'll buy you lunch and explain to you how to use Maximi$er.

So NOW the story CHANGES.....In your first post JYY was # 1
with 18-34 females and you were "crushing the competition"
in the Concord/Lakes Region Book. It's NOW changed to just
in Concord....Hmmmmm I thought market # 169 is called Concord/
Lakes Region which includes 4 counties. With the maximi$er,
you can pull numbers that make you # 1 on Main st. in Concord
and delete the rest of the market.
When we do meet you for lunch....you'll be shining my shoes......

Re: JYY - it's not all about the content

Content aside, ‘JYY has GOT to be alienating its target demo with excessive audio processing. Young females are particularly sensitive to excessive high frequencies and harsh audio, and that pretty well sums up the ‘JYY sound … Oh, you could also throw in excessive bass boost and overall grunge. Even my old guy ears can stand about 45 seconds of listening before feeling burned. Try cranking the “Less/More” knob down to about ‘5’.
Edited by OlderRadioGuy on 01/31/06 12:27 AM.

Whew! That was fun. Thanks! I'm going back to my hole now. =)

I agree with most of your comments, but Mix NEVER could beat JYY before the market as you could barely pick up Mix in manchester...
