Thank gawd someone came to Holly's rescue. She's the sweetest thing ever if you've taken two seconds to talk to her - and like the others have said, she can't help it if she's given some consultant crap to read. If you've seen these consultants, you know they are the epitome of "lack of personality". So when you get tired of hearing the same thing, blame some stuffed shirt in a chair that only knows Selector, and not how to be relateable and fun.

And as for Blair, Scarlet's fill in, uhm, yeah. No offense, but I'll be happy when Scarlet comes back. (And who throws around the tired saying "set of pipes" anyway?) Back when things were Star, Scarlet had a great presence on air and was a ton of fun - but alas, Consultant Man came to ruin another station.

I just caught some strange TOH -- WKQC and WKQC HD2 Charlotte? What's that about? I heard it on the webstream, and at the TOH, the female voiceover artist said, "And coming soon, all Christmas music, all the time."

I was surprised that neither Lite nor K played it this past weekend or nights starting at 7 like they have in the past. Maybe this weekend, they'll kick off the "Christmas Preview Weekends?"
 
Ya'll come down to Tampa,We have COX radio that runs stations without any jocks except in AM drive. (wink) The number one station 12+ is a gold based AC that has one jock and the rest of the day from 10AM to 6AM is a voice over. The same voice now from at least 2001 when I moved to Tampa. WMNC in Morganton was really personality intensive when I lived there and the former 102.9 out of Hickory was country and live overnights. Golly, guess them darn good days are over and not coming back. ya betcha

When I lived there, 102.9 FM was the only rock station in the Charlotte market, if you were lucky enough to be on the north and west sides.

The Charlotte Observer said a few years before that it was gospel.

Shoot, lets put him on in Charlotte too!
 
Sounds like K1047 is trying to buy time to get throught the holidays, then what? CBS seems to be courting buyers for their stations last i heard.

I think they should go JACK format since the LINK has decided to (in the words of the late Chris Farley) run their big fat yappers!!!

Isn't K still competitive against LITE?
 
Charlotte only needs 1 AC station. Jack FM format would be perfect for 104.7. Nashville,TN has one and it's doing great.Too bad 95.7 stuck with Rock format only..
 
If K were "buying time," I bet they would have already flipped to full-time Christmas. Why carry on with the AC format with Christmas weekends if they are planning to jump ship in January?
 
What happened to the morning guy, Landers?  He sounds good, why not stick with him? Who's the guy they have on now? great voice not so on running a tight board. Holly, fill us in, what's going on there. First the massive cuts, now no morning guy or at least one that was decent with a pleasant voice. Now they're playing Chirstmas.
 
Ah but the computer never calls in sick. Computers, the worst thing that ever happened to radio.
 
Computers don't call in sicks, that is a correct statment. I had heard Landers the past few weeks when he was sick on the air. Sounded good, but you could tell he was struggling. I'm talking about this past monday and Tuesday there was a John somebody on. Never heard of him before though.
