K-Earth 101 Totally 80's Labor Day Weekend

It's truly unfortunate Big A and I feel for them. They love their music too and it's not being played and represented.

I see it as a lost opportunity and failure to these people.

You're misrepresenting my view here. Yes, listeners from the 80s feel left out. But that's just how it is. Many of them also feel left out from what's on network TV. They feel left out from most of popular culture. They feel left out from changes in the social structure. Changes in technology. Changes in the workplace. On and on. But that's just how it is. You get older, and things change.

Really, I just believe that (if there was a way) a station needs to capture that aging audience from 1986 or even earlier when KRTH was golden to get the "bonus points". But advertising is not letting that happen.
I have a honest suggestion for you.

Instead of driving us all crazy repeating yourself, why don't you take your passion for over-54 listeners' needs and start a campaign to get the advertising community to start buying time on stations that still target the Boomers? You already have all the information you need and I can't think of anyone who would be better motivated for such a project.

I think that would be a much more productive -- and very satisfying, should you make inroads -- use of the time you spend talking to an audience that lacks the power to fix what you see as broken.
