Looks like K-Hits won yet again. There was a lot of smack talkin on here. I see only one daypart where the Beat can stick out their chest.
Spirit flat whipped KXOJ!!!!!

Billy madison said:Hey be nice!!! Todd Tucker is a really good PD!! It's a fun battle. There are a lot of talented people on both sides. As for the ratings, I can say this! Only one daypart was number one on either station!! The Beat is not a Kia!! Both stations sound really good!! The real winners are the listeners.
Have a Happy Halloween!!

Hmmmm.
Is another one getting ready to jump?
Three have already made the move.

Or maybe that person just wanted a free lunch and an opportunity to try to pump info from a Cox employee.
Maybe they're just pals. Imagine that. Someone from one company being pals with someone from another company.
Is it done? Yeah...there are some people who can be pals in the private sector and still be competitors in the market place.
But that wouldn't be Christian now, would it?

Or it could also be a example of a much better signal plus more researched music. Cox doesn't even sneeze on the air until they research how the sneeze would be perceived by all.
I have heard that Burkhart is consulting Spirit...

but I find the promo about being #1 greatly egotistical.
BlaineMcDaniel said:Did 102.3 really run a promo bragging about being the #1 Christian station? Isn't that kind of out of character on a religous Station? I find it hard to believe that a Church audience would really appreciate such an obvious case of boasting. I would think that a tactic like that would actually backfire with a religious audience.
But I do agree with journal guy that real agency's don't give a flying ------ about whether or not a station is tracked. It's about the numbers. Added value of contesting? Yeah, I'm sure that's a huge factor. What agency puts that much stock in contesting? None that I know of nor have ever worked with.
