KKJZ is "listener supported". Cal State Long Beach owns the station, and until a couple of years ago the studio was still on campus. I believe it's co-located with KKGO.kinda funny/ironic that they say that... while a different format, KJZZ 88.1 is programmed/managed by Global Jazz, Inc.... which is headed by Saul Levine and i guarentee they ask for donations
