K-Y-A call letters

1.The whole Verne thing makes the real Chris sick.
2. I bet Bonn Int gets close to 20 million for that stick, and that will be very hard to service the debt at that figure with any format, let alone oldies.
3. While David is correct about the ad law and call letters, as in all law and government, "it depends." I knew a guy who got a short spaced 100KW full class C on a class A freq years ago. He had a little $, was well loved, and had great connections! Key: great connections.

Static,

Chris doesn't know but a small part of it. I have a folder on this guy filled with his ridiculous threats; tales of a "cousin" that he claims is actually doing the "Chris Edwards" act; a phony lawyer who Verne says has all his airchecks (I called the office of the fictional "attorney" and was told that they never heard of him); false claims on the KYAF application that Verne signed (a felony, if and when he's convicted; yes, I included everything in a letter to the FCC)...

I could go on for hours.

I agree with Newsperson and White 3 letter calls can be broght back only if on the same Freq same town, ownership does not matter

Rumor has it once Verne inks his deal with TIMSU for 12~Sixty, he'll pull the plug on the oldies format and switch to Movin'. It'll be a first for Firebaugh!

Lets clear the AIR David Jackson again distorts the truth!!! Our internet station has 6 servers he was looking at the stats from our outside service (only one srever) He never looked at our servers ,we buy for the VERY FEW dialup users we have. David {the guy who flaked when a mtg was scheduled to let Jackson address his concerns and questions with myself , my cousin and my attorney} and don't worry the internet stations are in the process of being sold.
And KENNY Please Don't listen to or keep calling and emailing our stations you are a want to be sending all kind of stories a groupie!! Call another station!!!

Sorry everyone, but Verne in this case is correct. That was only one server. You can see how the others are doing by searching "kya" at:

http://www.shoutcast.com/directory

Right now, one person is listening. Now, if that's not right, Verne, point out where your "real" servers are, because I've accounted for each one that you are linking on your websites.

And if anyone blames me for "flaking" when a guy says that his mysterious "attorney" and fictional cousin suddenly won't be available, so I should just meet with him -- Verne -- one-on-one, alone, then you're braver than I am.

That's not "flaking," Verne. That's called self-preservation and simply not trusting you.

Who'd you talk to at Bonneville, by the way?

Speaking of call letters does anyone remember back in the late 70's early 80's when KYA FM was K-LIGHT FM (KLHT) playing light rock? if you don't it's not your memory the format didn't last long.

Yes - if you go back earlier on this topic (or possibly on other threads), KLHT (K-Lite) was mentioned, as was the rather bizarre fact that 93.3 briefly used the KOIT call-letters, more than a decade before they were used at 96.5 and 1260 by Bonneville.
