Karen Blake - The Madam!

It's a matter of what type of music you liked listening to. I listened to Kiss and WZOU a lot...so I remember Karen from those stations and her playing music mainly from the 80's and 90's. She was always "sarcastic" on the radio and I thought that was very funny.

I thought you were going to tell me that she was hiring women to turn tricks.
I drew a similar inference. Poor choice of words in the topic title.

No, it's isn't a poor choice in wording. This is a Boston board, and the people who read it should have the knowledge that she has been here a long time and has a nickname.
As an afficionado of Boston radio, I must assume that you're familiar with the Larry Glick salute. Consider yourself the recipient of one.

Well, I never listened to Larry, so although I don't exactly know what his salute was, from the tone of some of your "I have my opinions and if you disagree, you stink" posts, I think I can guess what the salute was..

And no, I am not an afficianado....I've just heard more than 5 minutes of Boston radio in my lifetime, so I'm aware of Mizzz Blake's nickname.
Some people might say "this is a Boston board and the people who read it should" have a knowledge of the legendary Larry Glick. I, however, would never say anything like that.

I thought I would jump in on this one. At one time in my career I took a job in L.A. I was away for a decent amount of time before I came back to Boston for a visit. When my friend picked me up at the airport he had the radio on and it just so happened that Karen Blake was on. When I heard her voice it really made me feel like I was home. :)
