Kat and Jarad Exit Live 105

ALL ACCESS is reporting that both Live 105 midday jock KAT and afternoon host JARED have left the building and have been removed from the station's website. JARED AMAN hosted afternoons at LIVE 105 for 11 years.

pull what plug? Sounds to me like they are ready to plug it in and turn it on

Their simulcasting the morning show from K-Rock in LA, and Canning the Afternoon Guy, and your saying their pluging it in?

If you going to pull the plug, you will pull the plug, not fire two people and shift talent around and start acquiring new talent. It sounds more like a change to get in tune and get plugged in. I think you read too many threads and its corrupted your brain, crossed with your desire to feel like you know everything

In my personal opinion, it looks like that live 105 is impending to become a sports talk station. It's really really sad but the ratings haven't been stellar and its just a matter of time before it ends like WBCN. RIP

I do hate to admit it but i am looking forward to K & B in the mornings - more fun than no name for sure.

KFRR 104.1 had K&B twice in Fresno and KFRR had bad ratings a 0.9, now there a new morning show starting today with Skippy. The Morning After, a former KRZR DJ and New Rock 104.1 has gone more towards ACTIVE ROCK with the lose of CC Fresno KRZR witch dominated for 21 years and still did to the end, but CHEAP CHANNEL switched to their national feed The Beat, like they do with almost all stations onwed by CC no Local Talent, like KKSF.
maybe Live 105 should make their station more of an ACTIVE ROCK station and still keep the ALTENATIVE at the same time and keep a local morning show.

KFRR 104.1 had K&B twice in Fresno and KFRR had bad ratings a 0.9

And KFRR also had Adam Carolla in mornings whose show DID get ratings in Fresno, while tanking in SF and LA. I think you would be hard pressed to find execs in either city who think radio in their town should be more like Fresno.

Kevin & Bean isn't really "acquiring new talent" since they're just being beamed up from LA...right? And don't get me started on No-Name. He's just plain not what I'd call "talent" either. Now Jared and Kat on the other hand... :'( Those were my two favorites (after Pete Mar who got moved to weekends.)

They've essentially cut their cast in half now...it's just No Name and Megan Holiday...Not sure how they think they're going to run a station with just those two. I never believed the buzz that Live 105 was going to flip, but it sure seems more likely now.

Someone may have a better memory than I, but I can't remember ANY morning show being carried in SF that has ever really succeeded.

How about Howard Stern on the very same Live 105?

If I remember correctly, Mark and Brian out of KLOS had a fairly lengthy run on KRQR before 97.3 became Alice, though I have no idea what their ratings were like.

I left out LA in my post. I was intending to refer to LA talent in the mornings. Howard, OTOH, was syndicated nationally, not just an NY talent.

As an addendum- my understanding was that during the Howard era, the station could have virtually signed off after his show re ratings and revenue. He WAS the station during that time.

Sound like CBS Radio is consolidation they on air staff to save money. They should do a radio about local information who care about 4 hundred miles away. Hire more good talent, not firing them. Live 105 is going to do more talk and less music just like love line. Oh! I forgot there's Ipod for music.

Are Live 105's overall ratings any better now than during the Howard era, or is it merely that Howard garnered much higher ratings in morning drive than the rest of the station? Live 105 was a fairly hot station during much of the Alex Bennett era, too - but I think Bennett's popularity had waned by the time he was dropped - or quit - don't remember which.

I wasnt referring to Kevin and Bean, ready my words carefully.
