Someone may have a better memory than I, but I can't remember ANY morning show being carried in SF that has ever really succeeded.

Doghouse.

The Doghouse originated at KYLD San Francisco. Obviously, many morning shows over the years have succeeded in San Francisco, though they've generally been local. Doghouse is hardly the only one. You could say Don Sherwood (if you wanted to go back that far), Dr. Don Rose (on 2 stations), Alex Bennett (3 stations), Don Bleu (2 stations), Terry McGovern (2 stations), Mancow, The Morning Zoo at KMEL, Sarah and Whoever at Alice, and many more.

SFStatic meant "any syndicated morning show being carried in SF" and apparently he also meant originating from Los Angeles, given that at least one sydicated show (Stern - from NY) was a success here.

@ Keller- you are correct. I was speaking to the fact that no LA morning show had ever been syndicated up here that I know of with much degree of success.
