If Katie had started her talk show in 2011, she probably could have inherited Oprah's old time slots in most markets. As it is, most markets filled Oprah's old time slot with an extra hour of news. The reason Lance Armstrong probably went on Oprah is because Oprah was willing to conduct the interview exactly as he wished, with no opinions offered by third parties. If he had done, say, "60 Minutes," they would have sent Morley Safer to interview some European cyclist who finished behind Armstrong in the 2003 Tour de France for some much-needed balance.ding12 said:She was supposed to replace Oprah.
