On the other hand, this would be a good logo for a talk station! And the juxtaposition of red and blue immediately made me think of politics...
It looks like the station has no fanfare, nobody is really following on social media. Only 38 likes on Facebook, only 18 followers on Twitter.
Which is why they will never be as successful as KRTY.They also have no local talent driving people to social media either.
Actually, the can easily be much more successful than KRTY. First, they cover a larger portion of the San Francisco market than KRTY. Second, there were fewer and fewer radio buys of just San Jose in the last decade. Now they can sell as a true San Francisco station. Third, they are part of a cluster and can do combined selling, something KRTY could not do.Which is why they will never be as successful as KRTY.
We'll see. So what happened with The Wolf, and The Bear?Actually, the can easily be much more successful than KRTY. First, they cover a larger portion of the San Francisco market than KRTY. This is a strategy for a smaller group that will accept what the other owners would notWe'll see. So what happened with The Wolf, and The Bear?
That "red" is close to magenta, and the blue is almost a sky blue. It's a pastel look that doesn't bring today's vicious politics to mind at all. I can see it as the logo of a long-term care or rehab facility. And the juxtaposition of red and blue immediately made me think of politics...
I agree, its gonna be another nash fm 92.3.I agree with the prediction that KBAY will be less successful than KRTY.

San Jose Sharks In-Arena Host/Digital Host Emily Harlan has joined Alpha KBAY/San Jose & KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA for middays.
Alpha Media hires 10-year radio vet Isaac "Brooks" Wenzel as Assistant Program Director-Country for KBAY-KKDV (Bay Country)/San Jose. He'll also become the station's first local afternoon personality. Beginning Monday, June 20, Brooks will be hosting 2-6pm weekdays on Bay Country and follows recently named local midday personality Emily Harlan from 10am-2pm.
While I'm happy to see KBAY is hiring local hosts, the fact no KRTY personalities have been hired is disappointing to me.
But will the keep any air staff around when that happens?KRTY says they intend to continue the station online after the sale.
