I wonder what the issue is with KBKS. On a four book, two book and trends the morning show has slipped. Two years ago KBKS was a solid number two behind KUBE and not that far behind. Now the mornings are number two in teens and declining in the 18-34 core. In the last couple of months KNDD has pulled ahead of them, along with MOVIN, Wolf and KUBE. This is in their core demo where they should easily be number one. 25-54, where a top tier CHR morning show should place top 10 and some place top 5, they have slipped to 20th. The new show this week sounded much younger, though not my cup of tea, it appeals probably is more targeted to the 18-34 core. KBKS needs some change, and their billing is declining in a significant way. Remember I always preach four books tell the story. This station was number one 18-34 in some books two years ago and top five in billing. No longer. It may slip out of the top ten in billing and on a four book is no longer a must buy in any demo outside of 12-17. I understand the new PD will be making changes, not sure if mornings are a part of those changes. I will tell you that in LA, Dallas, Boston, Minneapolis the Mainstream CHR morning shows are number one 12-17, 18-34, 18-44, 25-34, and top five 25-54 adults. It can be done.
