Perhaps they're using an IP STL and it's getting a lot of data errors?

I'm told it's an actual STL receiver "dish" mounted above the XMTR shack.

Which brings up the question, where's the studio? Their biz office and boss line
phone numbers are Qwest exchanges in the A.J. (Superstition East) C.O., although
these days phone lines can be routed anywhere no matter what C.O. they "belong to."

Maybe the question can better be asked as: "I want to inspect the KBSZ public file
(during normal business hours of course). Where do I go?"

I don't know for sure because when I visited the transmitter shack before they officially went on the air, Jeffry slammed the door shut behind him and came out to talk with me and did not welcome me in, but the pictures on the website of his morning show staff are taken inside a bare painted cinder block building with surface wiring...which is what the transmitter building is made of. Is it possible they are originating the morning show from a 10 x 15 room that also houses the transmitter?

I bet they are. I guess he's embarrassed to be doing his show in the transmitter shack, or the "studio" was (or still is) a unfinished mess.

Some of the internal pages still don't do much...or anything. The Daily Blender link
goes to a page with an illustration of a blender that's supposed to click to somewhere,
but doesn't.


BTW, the 50 watts just before and after 7:30 (guess they powered down a hair early)
are getting slammed by other signals. It's even less audible than usual right after
power down.

Maybe we should call it "Cinderblock 1260", I bet the acoustics in that room are excellent! ;D BTW I heard commercials and a couple of PSA's on 1260 for the first time today. But 1260's playing the UK version of The Spencer Davis Group's "Gimme Some Lovin" (The American version has a different lead vocal and background vocals).

In picture #2 you'll see a bunch of foam soundproofing glued to the cinder block walls. And notice the deadbolt on the studio door to keep groupies from getting out of hand with the 12~Sixty Boss Jocks! Now KBSZ becomes the 3rd station to air music on Ancient Modulation giving FM stations a real run for their money!

A tip of the fez to Oldiesfan....completely forgot about those two (as most people probably do). Interesting how Aribtron shows KMVP as Sports instead of Gospel. And yes, the former Sports Siberia is still owned by TMISU. Since they moved xmttr sites, guess we can now call them Landfill 8~Sixty :

You have to give KBSZ credit for putting together a commercial remote today.

Around 11:30 AM I heard Jeffry O'Brien via cell phone from their used trucks
sponsor's lot in A.J. He was doing some prize giveaways and mentioned free
food and drink at the remote location.

After he kicked it back there were actually a couple of spots, including one for
a Scottsdale hotel, before returning to the Goldmine '50s and '60s Twin Spin
Weekend. (Is that like a 94.5 KOOL-FM D-Backs Double Play Weekend, except
with older oldies? )

BTW, the next song I heard--Love Is All Around (Troggs)--sounded a bit slow.
