KBXD is now what's on 1480 in Dallas. 50KW days and thanks to a member of the National Radio Club they're firing up the big rig this coming Sunday morning.
I'm also an NRC member (and know that others here are too) so I thought I'd pass this along. The station has some very specific requirements for reporting the test for verification so please follow them.
And if you don't hear them drop 'em a line and say "thanks."
This station qualifies as DX for me when they are on night pattern. They are hard to hear at my QTH at night. Their antenna site is in southeast Dallas county and I'm about 15 miles northeast of there. Thanks to a long silent period and copper thieves the entire site was rebuilt and has been on since November iirc.
Tune in!
Sunday March 17 – 0000-0200 CDT (Saturday night into Sunday morning)
KBXD is testing its brand new full 50-KW six-tower day pattern – see online at http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?ca ... =C&hours=D
Morse code, sweep tones, special music and other easily identifiable content.
No e-mail reports accepted. Reports should be sent by regular postal mail. KBXD is graciously covering the cost of mailing out QSLs, so no need to send a SASE. Reports must include written or printed information with the listener's location, equipment used, and details about content heard. Please note that audio materials will not be returned.
Please send reports to:
