I believe the "sports" audio you hear faintly in the background on 1430 is the "sports" station on 1430 in Tulsa (formerly KELI).
Congratulations to everyone involved!!!

Haven't checked for the TOH ID on 1230, is it still KQUE?
Meanwhile, the "Baila" format is still going on 101.7.

Mediafrog+ said:KSHJ is suspiciously close to KSBJ. Perhaps implying a (nonexistent) relationship?

Hope one day you and KNUZ can sit down and reminisce about the good times you two used to have together. The transmitter on Ennis will be the meeting place.
Chuck Tiller said:Actually, the KNUZ/KQUE reunion will be on 4/21 at Los Tios Restaurant for all former employees.
So does this mean the KQUE calls are officially gone in Houston? Seriously? They've been a part of the dial here for MANY years. Guess it's for the best, though. It hasn't been the real KQUE in 15 years anyway.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't 980 AM KQUE for almost two years now. They used to be KRTX. 980 AM covers most of Houston so technically the KQUE call is still in town.
Yes, it is. You're not wrong, but when I posted that in 2013, 980 was still KRTX. Aleluya applied for the calls in late March 2013, a couple of weeks after the above was posted.
This is what happens when people bump ancient threads...
