KCUV MIA ?

Just tried to listen to KCUV on the internet from Charlotte, NC. I get their sister 'Jack" instead. Did they pull the plug on KCUV?

I hate that! Doug Clifton and G Brown are old friends from my days at KBCO/KADE...
and the music they played appealed to the homesick (I've been gone over 2 decades) Colorado native in me!

what a drag. I worked for Doug for a short time and he is such a good guy.
what are they doing with kcuv's signal then? if kcuv's demise really is because of ratings, then whats saving Jack? sorry, had to.

:( RIP, KCUV. I'm gonna miss you VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

One of the BEST AAA formats is gone!! As my good friend Joe (above) said, I'm also gonna miss them very much. :'( I've been an online listener since the days they were on 1510 with the Americana format. I do have a few recordings (made just a few weeks ago) of them I burned on CDs. They were just not mainstream enough even for a AAA format. The old "lowest common denominator" rule reared its ugly head

The issue, as I took up with Tim on a few occasions, it's about money in, not what your father-in-law can bankroll for you. He never listened. KCUV was a fine format if you had the means to take a loss. He did not, and still doesn't. How long will it be until his Jack dies? They've lasted longer than the re-birth of The Peak in 2000, but let's be honest. No numbers signify it's end in the coming months too. Tim is a good guy, but he needs to learn, if you can't play the game right it's best not to play at all...especially with people who have been out of touch from it for so long. All were talented people in their day, but you're a victim of your product when it lags behind with them aboard.

There's something to be said for giving niche products a chance to grow and I think NRC could be successful with running some of them.

What I don't get is how 102.3 benefits by going Jack? Are more people going to listen to it? I'd question that.
