Perhaps CC wised up and realized that Smooth Jazz is missing in market #5. They do have some SJ stations don't they? ??? Perhaps they want to beat CBS to the punch before MOViN fades away and The Oasis returns just like SJ did in Philly? Just a thought.
Smooth Jazz may be one direction....however...what station would benefit...MOVIN 107.5 DUH...Lite 103.7 second...KISS third
How about Country? Both The Wolf and KSCS have record low ratings more or less so that also is a hole in the market.

A very reliable source has informed me what the change will actually be. They are FINALLY dropping the words “The New” from their slogan. Look for The Laffer & KPLEXCOMPLEX to handle mornings, while Mike Shannon will handle afternoons. The midday and overnight slots are unfinalized at this time, and I will personally work the evenings.
The music format will.. Hey wait a minute… Why are you looking at me like that ??? Put that bat down! ;D Uh oh........

I'll volunteer for Mid-Days ... not like I have to be talented or anything, just play some music and maybe read a promo with some weather here and there.
I'll be music director. I've got some Sousa marches, some Bonzo Dog Band albums, and a complete set of Mantovani records just gathering dust. We could do polka Tuesdays, Rag-time two-fers and a Tiny Tim mini-concert each evening: "Get the Tim Out!".

And if this new direction is just a single air-staff position change, well that's not much of a "new direction" for the station, is it? Seems to me they'd have to launch a new format with a complete new lineup.

I am sorry I can't do The MIX. The Mix contains salmonella and it is being recalled . With that said Grant Chester's format sounds great! It would be like KAAM on Steroids or Geritol whichever is ingested first.
"Redbull" switch to artesia water or something,lighten up.
I am wondering how much longer they will continue to say "The NEW mix 102.9". Its only been around for about ten years.
