I found this thread looking for another one. Amazing prognostications, really, considering the passage of two years. How come Wilkie has not gotten a job in "real radio"? Gee....that's a tough one. Wonder how come the VUE job didn't work out? Can't figure that one...

Ned, you used to hate Kenny Wilkerson, and now you are obsessed with him. What happened?

The reason why Wilkie will never work with the Saints (and WWL, for that matter) again is because of his relationship with Sean Payton. In 2006, Wilkie reported on-air that Roman Harper was on IR, and Sean Payton wasn't ready to release this information. It is Coach Payton's preference that the local media not release any information until the team releases it, which isn't asking a lot. Wilkie went against those wishes several times in the 2006 season, and Wilkie's relationship with the coach went south. Eventually Wilkie couldn't handle the work environment he created for himself and stepped down as the Saints sideline reporter.

It's funny how he bashes Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams, who was largely responsible for the Saints Super Bowl run, and how he says that the season will come down to how well Dan Morgan performs. Dan Morgan? I am a huge Saints fan, and I have never heard of that guy!
 
93.3 guy: You're joking, right? I am obsessed with him, but only with the fact that he EVER got a job on radio. He was truly the worst there ever was. He couldn't complete a sentence without stammering, was perhaps the biggest jock sniffer in history, and didn't know anything - I don't think he was ever right.

As for my 2008 prediction, I was dead on right. I just bought a Corolla from him. He gave me a great deal, and even set me up with a hot dog and a balloon.

Kenny Wilkerson is GOOD PEOPLE. He just TELLS IT LIKE IT IS........
And his critics cannot HANDLE THE TRUTH.....
 
Well, at least he tells it like he thinks it "is." However misguided he may be from time to time, that's good enough for me.
And he is, pretty much, good people. yep, I'd go with that.
 
Wilkie is now going to be doing a Post-Saints game show live from some dive bar in the French quarter...woo hoo! Can u imagine the countless throngs of people anxious to drive all the way down to the hard-to-park, smelly French Quarter so they can hear the stammering, stumbling, stuttering jock sniffer espouse his theories on the Saints? Well, he's with WIST radio now and we all know that you have to pay your way onto that station, so whatever this bar is paying for Wilkie...as one pundit said, if it's more than free, it's too much.

Wonder what "guests" Wilkie will have on, now that he's banned from the Saints camp and has made enemies with Payton, the most well respected and well liked coach in Saints history (and a best selling author to boot). Don't think any players will be showing up on the show.

UPDATE: I just turned on the TV and there's Wilkie...I just can't get away from him. He's on PBS doing an interview with Ron Brocato about high school football...and he doesn't even know where Holy Cross is!

WILKIE: "Brother Martin on Elysian Fields, Shaw on the West Bank and Holy Cross...wherever they are." Moron! Brocato had to point out where Holy Cross is located. How did this idiot ever get a job in radio?
