Kevin Redding out at WROR

Lucylu, I have to agree with you. After tuning into him for most of the afternoon...I got sick of hearing him talk about his kids. I get the feeling he likes to hear himself talk. Yuck! Unless, they are keeping him around to take over for L&W someday...?

Now that would be a mistake. I think Tony V. was great when he filled in for them. ROR should grow a pair and build a show around Tony.

Word is coming out of the building that Jo Jo Kincaid is going after ROR afternoons. That would be a no brainer and a HUGE move....stay tuned.

Why, is disco coming back? ;D

Seriously, I respect JoJo for all he has done in the business. I just don't think anyone will REALLY care if he comes back. His style is about 20 years old. It's not what radio is today...which is alittle more laid back and "real' sounding....although I haven't heard him in a long time...maybe he doesn't scream anymore. If he does go to ROR I realize it is an Oldies Station but that doesn't mean the style of the DJ should have to sound old.

Honestly I think he would be better suited for Oldies with their chr mechanics than a classic hits station. Jo Jo Is technically as proficient as it gets, he is an artist!. Do you think he'll be able to show off any of those skills playing soft classic rock?. No way. I doubt they want to pony up Jo jo money either.

Is he out of work? If he is then maybe he'll settle for whatever money!

I heard it got so bad for him he had sell one of his Jo's. How long before he starts wearing a 'Will Yuck It Up for Food' sign ;)

JoJo is a seasoned pro, and could most likely "adjust" to any format.
So let us cut some slack, and give kudos to anyone that is lucky enough to land a gig nowadays.

He is on the beach in San Diego no pun intended. I have no doubt that he could adjust to any format as he is a seasoned pro. However someone that good should not have to adjust to a format, he should find a job where he can do his thing and he being a high energy, post nailing machine, obviously cannot do that at WROR. I think he would sound liek a race horse whose gate would not open. As a fan I would not want to hear him on air and not being Jojo "Cookin" Kincaid. Know what I am saying?.

Quick WROR question...listening right now which is very unusual for me to be listening to WROR at 715pm.

Heard Kevin Redding sign off for the night just before 7pm and he mentioned Kim Collins coming up. Last I knew, WROR was playing the "Best of Loren and Wally" from 7pm-9pm and then Kim followed from 9pm-midnight. In fact, her bio even says she is on from 9pm-midnight. When did "Best of" stop?? Anyone know? Anyone? Anyone?? Bueller???

Some wags might say 'was there ever a Best Of Loren & Wally to begin with?', but not me. ;)

Keyjock, in response to your post...have you always been supportive of everyone that has gotten a gig? Be honest!

Actually YES! Given the state of the industry today, I support and respect anyone who wants to continue to work in it, instead of spending useless energy bitching and complaining about it.
