Led to believe? The company let him go as part of national layoffs. That's what a budget restructuring is.

Not sure you can say Megan is getting screwed over if she'll be taking on different responsibilities across the company either.

I don't see either how Megan is being screwed. If she thought that she has free will and could quit but that's not gonna happen.
