Their budget and operations are now supposedly self sufficient - achieved, like KUOW's, through pledge drives and underwriting. I congratulate them on some terrific accomplishments and exciting radio over the last few years. They are a very interesting component to the Seattle/Tacoma market.

Usually these things are just a living lab for those who are learning a little thing or two about broadcasting -- and MAYBE the signal gets to their house so mom & dad can catch the kid "on the air". Even if stations like these aren't knocking the world out cold with their commercial ratings ... the fact that these folks can make something out of what is hardly a "level" playing field is pretty impressive. If the people running these stations can do it with the resources they have ... imagine what happens when you hire them and they have a REAL audience and marketing opportunity/budget to work with!
