There has been much talk about Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta buying a WNBA expansion franchise and reviving the Comets brand. Allow me to introduce you to WSUI in Iowa City and its longtime FM sister, KSUI...That's the first time I ever heard of a W-call letter station west of the Mississippi (there have been K-call letter stations east of it) having a K-equivalent in the same area (and also, far as I recall, there has never been a W-equivalent to a K-letter station that has been east of the Mississippi [IOW, no WYW to KYW, that is]).
