"With its soft launch set for next Wednesday (Aug. 1), the new Spanish-language broadcast network is targetting [sic] younger viewers — 18-34s — more than the existing Hispanic networks, and it isn't afraid to let some English on the air, including commercials...."

Also it was reported here a while back that belo was going keep helping with providng gear for the station to operate but that the channel would have its own managment staff and station employees. I don't see KFWD building a new master control room and new station offices. They will still be in the same building as WFAA and will get equipment support from WFAA so part of the JSA will still continue.
Also does anyone know if KFWD will finnaly broadcast in native HD come wednesday? They already have a HD feed going to cable systems but it was only showing upconverted 480i shows in 1080i? If I am not mistaken WFAA is helping KFWD add HD equipment to master control.
dantheman said:I thought KFWD was a Belo station with WFAA. I thought Belo was programming KFWD 52 RF HD9. Why???? We going to put FOX Spanish channel on 52. FOX 4 needs to add FOX Spanish to sub channel 4.2 on FOX 4 main HD signal. This is a better way than changing KFWD 52 programming.

easttxtv said:They must have some desire to keep KFWD under their roof for some reason. Otherwise, why would Belo spend their extremely-pinched pennies on something that isn't owned or controlled by them? Unless WFAA/Belo is really *that* generous of late (I guess they were once before with KERA/13) .....
