KFYI Sounds Terrible on AM

I am someone who likes KTAR and KFYI. I get my news from KTAR and find myself digging their new guy Ancarlo. Then I listen to Rush and Hannity and get traffic from Detour Dan in the KTAR helicopter when I go home. After listening to KTAR on 92.3 KFYI sounds so bad on AM. Everytime I drive to the 51 to get to work I drive by a bunch of power lines and I can't hear a dang thing. I'm surprised KFYI isn't on FM. They should be because they sound old on AM.

Hello All -- I am brand new to this Board. Reading different people's views on the radio scene here in Phoenix is interesting.

I'm wracking my brain -- there was or maybe still is a weekend-only talk host on KFYI whom I really like, but I've only heard him a couple of times in the last month. I can't think of his name. I know that Joe Crummy is now gone, regrettably, and I'm thinking this other fellow might be gone as well, and thus no longer listed on KFYI's site.

Do any of you know where I could see a list of the other local hosts who have been on KFYI? Maybe there is an Internet site that I just haven't found that might have their previous lineups? (Internet Archive doesn't have it.)

Thanks for any thoughts you might have. (I'd like to contact this host, if I could just recall his name.)

with a background "hissing" noise more often than not recently.

You six people are boring when you talk about KTAR <b>and</b> KFYI.

Mix in the scintillating 1440 "broadcast log of the internet" - up to four pages now - and you have a radio discussion board that makes Paul Harvey and Pat McMahon look like American Idol and You Tube.
