KFYI: The Valley's Tape Delayed Leader

Yawn, you prove the point by continuing the subject long after it was relevant, just like the plane crash.

And, if I heard the story on the radio, I would have shut the radio off and turned on the TV.

I make fun of TAR and KFYI pretty equally if you notice, I think KFYI is pretty dull to listen to these days, and so is TAR. I'm an equal opportunity offender.

Happy: as for the plane crash. Get over it. It's old news now.

Actually, the plane crash was 'old news' when it was aired on KFYI. ;D

I'm glad you're happy but sorry you're also confused (esp on that election bull).

This was a big story

Initially it was due to 9-11

and as the afternoon went on, got bigger, once the victim was identified

Just the opposite..a private plane flown by a second string baseball player with marginal flying abilities.

The Men In Secret Underwear only hope a diary washes ashore in Pt Hueneme so KT'R can beat KFWhyEYE!

At 6pm, it was leading all the network, cable, radio newscasts. It was the lead story on the local and national newspapers the next morning.

That's a fact, as is the fact that Radical Rightwing Radio thought its listeners were too stupid to notice they were getting stale info.

As evidenced by the KFYI Marching band and Chowder Society, now Underwear Free Since Last Friday.

To borrow your hackneyed and trite phrase, get over it.

No, the lack of DST in AZ would not stop them from shifting the air times twice a
year to always be live--if they wanted to.

Weak. In the saturated media environment everyone here speaks of, even your P1s don't know your exact 24/7 schedule. Everyone else... forget it! Why confuse people by moving shows... The Little KFYI in Tucson stopped doing so early this year, as have others. Time-shifting shows is for, well, places like KKNT. They do a good job of always airing their national lineup live. Too bad the population as a whole doesn't do too good of a job remembering to listen :-\

Why confuse people by moving shows...

Exactly. And in spite of what our good friend ZumaHens thinks, time shifting is even more confusing to Pt Hueneme listeners as they'd never be able to calculate low and high tides!
