I see a station license problem!!! If Jaan McCoy is running KGVL 1400AM live studio in Murphy, TX. They need to ID KGVL 1400AM Murphy/Greenville, TX or McCoy's remote studio location?? Studio is in Murphy, TX..with transmitter in Greenville, TX. Are they thinking about moving transmitter around in Hunt or Collin County. Could McCoy group file with FCC to move transmitter out of North Greenville to someplace in Western Hunt County or Collin County. Now, is old KIKT studio/office running as KGVL business office for sales marketing. This is so so crazy to run a local radio station to serve Greenville/Hunt County residents this way that is stated in your FCC license.
The only thing that has changed is Jaan, Ron & Chuck don't have to drive to Greenville to do their shifts
Does life in radio get much better than that???
I know in the video that they are driving on US 75 north bound in Plano, TX. (Between 15th and Parker RD)
Dan The MAN
The North Texas RadioAM!!
The "official" studio is still in Greenville. Think of it as a 12 hour "remote" five (or six) days a week.
They are not going to (can't) move the AM transmitter anywhere. There is a CP to move the FM north to Delta County (where it will not cover any significant population... thank you, Susquahana!).
Dan, read it again:
aside from the shifts done in Jaan's barn,
everything else at KGVL/KIKT is proceeding business as usual.
