From what I understand, this is reflective of the am show numbers. It sounds like she is trying to be vindictive and revengeful. What a litany of b.s. charges, "harassment" (huh? i know people in that building and no one was ever harassed, CC wont allow that), pregnancy discrimination (if so, then why did the other pregnat DJ not get fired?), wrongful termination (wronful termination for low ratings??? everyone fired for low ratings has a case then), sexual battery (huh??? once again, CC wouldnt allow this to happen. if it did why was it not brought to the attention of the management and that person fired and prosecuted???), negligent infliction of emotional distress and retaliation (sounds like a retaliation charge to me if I have ever heard one...the pot calling the kettle black).
 
I actually agree with Partyshark. Athena has now tanked two morning shows in Fresno. She took Star 101.1 from a top 3, 25-54 rating to a format flip to the new Y101. Every person in the tri-county area has seen her perform "the worm" at some public event, and call me crazy, but country audiences have never reacted well to discussions about menstrual cycles on the air by two female DJ's. Big Country has never taken off even though they have a great signal and Athena has to take some of the responsibility for this. Ge over it, throw out the frivilous law suit, and go find a more edgy format to carry your brand of humor.
 
I heard through the grapevine she has a pretty good case. I also heard that they gave the other girl......Daniels a promotion to keep her from taking sides with Athena and testifying. Her Dad is also the infamous Larry Daniels, that just may have had something to do with her being saved. Food for thought.......
 
well radioconfusion yes u r confused. i don't know daniels but i've worked with athena in the past and she was the worst "talent" ever. unprofessional and had issues with flashing everyone. u must be friends with her
 
No, don't know Athena at all. You are definitely more educated then I, on that aspect. I innocently posted what I had heard through the grapevine, rumor etc. Grapevine, rumors, they are what they are. And, my opinion of Daniels is only because I have listened to the station during her daypart and was not impressed! However, I will say the other girl, Sam, I think it is that is on at night is very good in my opinion.
 
i have to disagree with u i've heard daniels and she sounds good and u can tell knows country music. i've listened once a night and i turned it off. u obviously have a beef with daniels did she get ur job?

Well correct me if I'm wrong but if you are called to testify don't you have to show up regradless on a promotion or not?? You obviously don't know "Larry Daniels" last time I checked he didn't work for CC and how would he "save her" don't you think she has some experience??

Sounds like I offended someone. I thought that was what boards were for to give your opinion or blog about the latest news gossip etc. I don't know anything about Daniels just stating what I heard. There is nothing wrong with that.
 
People only get offended when someone says something that is untrue. I would love to know your qualifications in the Radio Industry? Let's do an air check with you or are you no longer on the air?
 
Not interested. And what would doing an air check prove? It's not going to change my opinion of anything I have written.




And no Radioloser2 she didn't get my job we would never have been in any competition in the job market....period. It was nothing personal just my observation when I tuned in.

The reality of the whole matter is that Kris always wanted Athena's job.She made friends with Athena though,liked her and empathized with her after the guillotine dropped.Regardless of whether or not someone is called to and shows up in court,they can always plead the 5thn ("amendment",for those of you who don't get it) and pleading the 5th looks more desirable with every dollar and promotion thrown someone's way (regardless of reason).

As for Daniels' Daddy,it doesn't matter what company he works for,he has pulled more strings for that girl than a puppeteer.I mean read the girl's bio what pro starts off a bio with the grammatically incorrect "It's my roots"...I realize she has a target demo,but they may be doggone upsert to har that kinda fun bein' made of them by that thar gal they hear on them there music box.

She has NO TALENT!!!

I couldn't have said it better myself. Although you can see why I didn't engage in a word war over it being true or not. 10to3girl pretty much put it out there herself as you can see. It was going to go so far over her head that it wasn't worth the finger strokes! It's going to be interesting to see what will happen with this case and the effect it will have on CC.

HaHa whatever...Athena's case is gonna be thrown out. She should have taken the deal that CC offered but her and her coattail riding no job havin', loser hubby Frank were a bit too greedy. Athena wasnt worth salt on the air. A horrible talent who didnt know the audience she was supposed to be targeting.
As far as Kris's promotion, she was promised that position long before the whole Athenagate scandal, and NO, Kris's father had nothing to do with her being saved you moron. If Kris wanted to get her dear ol' dad involved, she could go to work in a major market for 5 times what she makes no problem.

Now you have just insulted the girl. If she could "work in a market making 5 times the amount of money who in their right mind wouldn't then?" So you are saying that she CHOOSES to work for a station that is tanking? That makes no sense at all. But I guess you are the one claiming to know "Jack" about Kris Daniels.

I guess we will see what happens with Athena and her case only time will tell. She seemed to be a good enough talent to keep on the air for over a year. She only started to be drug through the mud after the law suit was filed which seems predictable.

It's not an insult, from what I understand, she is kinda locked in fresno because of family matters, at least locked in the general area.
Athena was only kept for a year because of her contract. SHe went thru 2 morning people and never got the ratings because she sucked. Athena would never let the other person talk on the air, she would always have to turn the conversation on to herself with either Kris or Buck and even the callers. She would always have some kind of better story than their's and interrupt whoever was telling the story even if the story wasnt finished.
Now, from what I understand, Athena irratated almost everyone at that group, even some people who dont get irratated very easily, because she never listened to anyone explain to her how to do something, like run a board and voice track with next gen (I think that is what CC uses). She was too into herself to listen what others were trying to teach her. She is very self absorbed, and it shows in her stupid frivolous lawsuit that she was sexually harrassed. Who in their right mind would want any of what she had??? Come on, who saw that pantiless worm? Did you not sweat with embarrassment for her or gag at THAT sight? How pathetic.

As for her lawsuit...she had absolutely ZERO evidence of ANY kind of harrassment, mistreatment, or injustice of ANY kind. Her lawyer had to tell her to shut up 3 times because she cant close that trap on her face.
In my opinion, she owes Buck and apology for the mud she has dragged him thru...in fact she owes the CC management and apology for the horrible job she did on the air...even more in fact, she owes the people of fresno and surrounding areas an apology for being on the air and having to endure this drama. I hope she gets some kind of slander lawsuit or defamation suit once hers is dismissed for lack of credible evidence.

As for you RadioConfusion you are definitely confused. You don't have any of the facts right. Maybe because of your washed up career you feel compelled to lash out at a girl just trying make ends meet doing the only thing she has ever WANTED to do.

First of all, I know Larry, and he has more integrity in his pinky than you have in your whole body.
Based on your conclusions, I am guessing you are a man. As stated before, Kris could be in a major market with or without Larry's help...in fact she has turned down many opportunities...why you ask...this will be tough for a man in the radio industry to understand, but some THINGS are more important. See, most men, like you I am guessing think nothing of holding your family hostage to your career. Kris has put her family first and that takes more courage and at times sacrafice to do the right thing. There is a small window for attractive women in this industry. She has chosen the righteous path of being a wife and a mother first.
At this point, she is the ONLY thing that station has going for it!
As for Athena, Kris was nothing but kind, good and altrustic to that no-talented hag. The entire time they worked together Athena was stabbing her in the back and trying to get her fired. Do you think she holds a grudge against her...no, she still has compassion for her.
By the way you moron, you would only need 5th Amendment protection when and if you did something wrong! Read the constitution

First of all I never claimed to have ANY facts. As I have stated over and over, they are just things that I heard and the latest talk of what was going on. Last time I checked, that is what this site was for. I won't even address your insults about a washed up career, being a male etc. You must be harboring a lot of resentment towards, maybe your husband that chose his career over you and your family. Those are your issues and it's obvious you have some things to work out. Good luck with that. I never, ever said anything deragotory about Larry Daniels and have much respect for the man.

You obviously know Ms. Daniels personally and are coming to her defense, that is your right to do so. I don't know what any of the family stuff etc. has to do with anything, sounds like an excuse to me. As for there being a small window for attractive women, you are ABSOLUTELY mistaken, the market is nothing but hungry for beautiful women that are talented and good at what they do. Perhaps just another excuse for you. As far as stating that she is the ONLY thing the station has going for it, is really not saying much. And for someone who is trying to sound so righteous, you sure are quick to call people names.

And furthermore (and this one is to back up radioconfusion again, who is the only person in this whole debate who has any of the facts correct) if K.D had any real talent wouldn't she be on mornings?

As for the attractive thing,take a look at the "Motherly Minute" on the website and your opinion might change.From what I know the only reason Kris is here is because she wore out her welcome in Bakersfield but has to stay near there for what I can see from reading here are "family reasons".Her kids' parent/or some of her own family probably live there.I know she did work for Owens (Buck) years ago,but I believe she was just tracking a show and maybe doing sales.

Her husband (current) is also in radio but I don't know if he is a DJ.For the record by the way,I am male and proud of it.Radioconfusion is probably a woman though because as men we wouldn't want to admit we were confused:) You GO Radioconfusion,I'm glad someone on here is finally discussing the Athena thing,we've been curious about it over here across the street.
