If you were curious about it "across the street" you shoulda asked around in the building...(wink)...you never know who knows.....heheheh
 
WOW harsh words [EDIT] How petty to comment on her "Motherly Minute" I saw it and I thought she looked good!! I've seen Daniels at numerous events and that girl is hot!! Plus she was a very nice person. It is obvious that Radiomanners and Confused are from Athena's camp and for some reason you both are bashing Daniels!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you like that sort of homely look, more power to ya! I'm not claiming to be on any side, from any camp. I just write what I feel to be true, my opinion, everyone is entitled to have their own.
 
I tuned in to KHGE today, looks like they have made a small change.....moving Kris from 9am to 2pm and Uncle Buck from 2pm to 7pm.....I think. Any takes on why they would have done that?
 
I noticed that too! I listened for an hour or so and I have to say Kris is one of the best jocks in this town. I was impressed alot of interaction with the callers. Some of the air talent I work with don't answer the phones, feel bothered by callers and don't appreciate sales at all. I wished she would come across the street and work here. I am curious why the change in hours? How is the music only working out? I listened in the afternoon and the guy sounded upbeat and like he was having fun. Who was that?
 
See I have to disagreee, she should be one of the best jocks in town with all the jobs she has had and lost. The afternoon guy is "Uncle Buck". He is the PD. They are excited about their call ins......because they hardly ever happen! Both dayparts are doing a HUGE 1.6, so when the phone finally rings.........it's pure excitement!

If you aren't yankin' our chain, this should be good!!!!! I say CC should go for it! What do they have to lose....the current on air crew at KGHE has done nothing for the station in almost two years. Interesting, keep us posted Jimbo!
 
I am amazed that some of you would post stuff on here when you have no clue!
1. Kris' husband is not in radio any longer.
2. In the state of California, a non-custodial parent can dictate to you where you reside so they have access to the child for visitation.
3. Athena was awful on the air, and I am not the first to state that!
4. Information is out there all you have to do is look, when Kris worked in Bakersfield she was in fact on the air, and no in sales (which is what I suspect you do)
5. She has not had "lots" of job that she lost, she has made "career decisions" and moved markets.
6. The only jock who never answered the phone and never interacted with the public was in fact Athena - the rest of them are very public orientated.
7. If you don't like the Mommy minutes then don't look at them, obvisiously you are one in a million who does not like them, have you heard the call ins on that segment?

I don't know where you are "on your way" to, but it may be delusional land. We can just let the ratings that continue to tank speak for themselves.
 
And furthermore...the information IS out there and there are reputations that are clearly known. So that is the explanation for being in Fresno (the child custody)? What about the years prior to this? What are the excuses there? Being fired or let go from a job because you can't hang is not a "career move." It's a known fact that Athena was awful, but she is gone now and the ratings on KHGE are still the same, it wasn't all Athena. Kris has already been fired from one station in Fresno. If there were a million people looking or calling in for Mommy Minute the ratings would be better. Do the math.
 
who hasn't been fired from wilks? I've heard nothing but great things about Kris and her work ethics. Most of us in radio at one time or another are fired. I heard that she was a scape goat for that company among others. I guess we'll have to wait and see the fall book and see if ratings go up. You obviously don't like Kris for some personal reason. Leave the poor girl alone.
 
I still don't understand why you are all so hard on Kris Daniels.
I listened to her show. It's tight, the listeners sound like they are having fun and comfortable, comments on artists and segue ways make sense. She is knowledgeable on local issues and local goings on.
Is there something personal with this girl? Did she do something to someone in this market?
 
Tight??? What are you 16??? No one is hard on her, everyone just states the facts and their opinion. Why is that so hard for everyone to grasp? Just because you have a difference of opinion from someone else, it doesn't mean that you have some personal hatred for the person. Everything you explaind that she is, that the station is, that the listeners are, is mediocre. There is nothing FANTASTIC about any of it and therefore that is why the ratings are so bad.
 
After reading this last thread all I can say is you wackos deserve each other. Hard to believe there is enough "hater-ade" to go around in that town!
