KHMX and KLOL to CBS

The bell tolls for KHMX, and KLOL. "CBS Houston - where good stations go to die" Congratulations to the rest of the market. Has anyone checked the daily line for the overs? I'd think around 4 books, maybe a little longer and both stations will be in the plus 15 rank range.

i don't think KILT-FM would be considered a dead station. Mix will get better musically, 101 i hope espanol is on the way out. For those who think it is bad to have CBS get these stations....would you rather have Cox or Liberman?.......think about that

MIX..Kraddick in The Morning..Take it to the bank.

That's what I said they would do after Malone got ousted. I thought it was a no-brainer. I guess I know now why they held off. Is Kraddick on any other CBS O&O's?

Why is this a no-brainer? Kraddick is a CHR morning show, with CHR artists in studio, that discuss CHR happenings, with the 18-34 CHR demo.

On a small market signal, fine. Have your Hot AC talk about Soulja Boy, Flo Rida, and Lil Wayne all you want.

Market 6? That'd be pathetic. The show should at least fit the format.

When I used the term "No-Brainer", I meant that from the corporate standpoint... not my own. I thought that they should have never parted with Roula & Ryan. I meant Clear Channel taking the cheapest route possible which would be Kraddick, given they own the show. Yes, it would be stupid to put that show on the format, but this is radio in the 21st Century. Common Sense programming has been thrown out the window in favor of cheaper alternatives.

Kraddick is owned by himself, he bought out CC and Premieres rights last year and now carries the show himself.

I'm betting no changes. CBS doesn't have the money to market a format change. Instead, they'll just keep the cash flow rolling until we get in a better economic environment. There really isn't much staff to cut. Most of the current staff were spread thin over multiple stations and I'm betting the Clear Channel will hold on to the best.

The question is: Did Clear Channel cut Sam Malone so that they could hire him back after the deal was done or will CBS grab him and put him back on Mix?
