Lopez, Darby and Proctor have some explaining to do as well as some legal problems. Nothing new for any of them.

I think it would only be fair to add something to a new objection against Mr Chris for selling Carlos a station that had been dark for a very long time (way over the year). at this point carlos told me he would gladly give back that piece of junk, but I think the process is pretty ahead now and don't see Chris having any chance of winning. so, before you go crazy Chris and lose your hair why don't you show some proof that the station was on the air and with no issues before you sold it. Because i have a few folks in Orange and Beaumont that tell me otherwise.

Why are you calling him "Darby's puppet" is he's telling the truth, Stan? You know good and well that the station was dark for well more than a year. In fact, it was dark when he transferred the license to Lopez. I find it very interesting that a non-engineer could successfully bring a station back to life, when the other non-engineer was only successful at keeping it silent. That's certainly not something I would want to add as an accomplishment to my resume when perpetually job searching for a position in broadcasting.

Because what you posted is inaccurate. Of course, when Darby had a radio show he dealt in fantasy so there’s that.

Really? It is advertised as "Houston's Premiere Tejano Party Station." That seems like a "presence in the Houston market" to me.
The station’s signal, when actually on the air, is feeble to nonexistent depending on where you are in Houston metro. It is a nothingburger in this market. Maybe with 50kw aimed right at downtown Houston they could have some impact, but not with the current 2kw day/270 watts night facility aimed due south.

Promotional hype can say whatever it wants, but reality is much different.

It barely reaches areas south of Beaumont, so it was utter fantasy to spout that is was Houston’s anything. That’s Lopez for you..

How did the original poster get the link to the petition?
I was gonna check the opposition mentioned.

Licensees are often wanting an antenna install job done as soon as the FCC grants a mod. Our crews sit waiting for a good to go green light. I follow the FCC daily reports. Anything you want to known about any license or pleading s available on the LMS.

KHTW filed a silent STA on July 20th.

"The station was taken off the air due to technical problems with the phaser. Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the month."
